De gameplay in Kens Rage 2 zal grotendeels hetzelfde blijven als zijn voorganger. Echter worden er wel een aantal elementen flink veranderd, zo gaat de game meer naar de Dynasty Warriors games toe in de vorm van grote hordes aan vijanden tegelijk op het scherm. Daarnaast is de combat ook nog eens in de versnelling gegaan. De optie om te springen is vervangen door een dodge systeem. Daarnaast worden de Signature Moves niet meer aangekondigt in het midden van het gevecht om de gameplay constanter te houden. De Hyper moves uit het eerste deel zijn helemaal weg.
